Calgary was the top U-Haul growth city in 2023, attracting movers due to job opportunities, low taxes, and affordable housing. In 2024, 51.2% of U-Haul traffic in Alberta was incoming. The province is experiencing significant interprovincial migration, particularly from Ontario and British Columbia, with a net gain of 10,810 people in the third quarter of 2024. Alberta's recreational activities also appeal to new residents.
