Calgary reveals latest steps to revitalize vacant office space, address housing crisis

The City of Calgary is addressing its housing crisis by constructing three new residential developments and converting two vacant office buildings into residential units, adding 1,100 new homes. Mayor Jyoti Gondek announced that these projects will revitalize downtown and generate over $350 million in private investment, with the city contributing $20 million. The developments include a 234-unit community, a 30-storey mixed-use tower with 315 rental units, and a mixed-use tower with 268 units. The conversions will add over 400 housing units.
