Home sales in communities near Calgary remained mostly flat in December 2024, with the exception of Chestermere, where sales increased nearly 23%. Despite stagnant or declining sales, benchmark prices rose across all areas. High River's benchmark price grew nearly 8% to $481,300, while Canmore's rose 9% to $1,037,100. Airdrie saw a 9% drop in sales but a 4% price increase to $542,400. Strathmore experienced a 47% decline in sales, yet its benchmark price rose nearly 8% to $428,800. Okotoks and Cochrane also reported price increases despite lower sales.
