The City of Calgary will maintain a 3.6 percent property tax increase for 2025, thanks to last-minute investment income and internal savings. Homeowners of a $700,000 property will see a tax increase of 3.9 percent, while condo owners will face a 10.5 percent rise. The operating budget will increase by 11.4 percent, with significant investments in infrastructure, housing, and public safety. City officials have identified $121 million in operating budget capacity and $135 million in capital relinquishments to support these investments. Council will discuss the budget from Nov. 18 to 22.
