Calgary is the priciest city in Alberta for renters, with a 7.3% increase in two-bedroom rental costs since July 2023. Renting a two-bedroom apartment in Calgary now costs around $2,200 monthly, close to the national average of $2,335. Edmonton experienced a 20.9% rent increase, but it is still cheaper to rent there than in Calgary. Vancouver remains the most expensive city for renters in Canada, with a one-bedroom apartment averaging $2,700, despite a 2.5% decrease in annual rent prices.
