Downtown Calgary’s first office-to-residential conversion opens

An office-to-residential conversion project in downtown Calgary, The Cornerstone, is now open. It is the first completed project under Calgary’s Downtown Development Incentive Program, aiming to bring people to live downtown and add space to the housing market. The building offers 112 two and three-bedroom apartments, with 70% already leased. It includes suites for lower income residents and smart systems, along with a commercial area for small businesses. Four more projects are in progress to address the housing crisis and revitalize the city.
